PAT
You were born when I was ten
And I thought, “She’s just for me”
No one could tell me otherwise
I knew you had to be
You were my little living doll
And I loved you very much
It gave us lasting closeness, Pat
Through time’s loving touch
We aren’t children any more
But as the years slipped by
The special bond we shared back then
Became a lasting tie
Mom’s last request, ”Look after Pat”
I felt compelled to do
Not because you needed me
For I also needed you
The years are but reminders
Through memory’s gentle kiss
That the greatest gift Mom gave to me
Is my one in a million Sis
I LOVE YOU
