SAYING GOODBYE
Can it be, that you and I
Are ready now, to say goodbye?
And can the dreams we shared as one
Finally be over with, and done?
Can something wane that was so fine
As the deep love, like yours and mine?
The love we shared that was our song,
Just faded away until ‘twas gone.
I find it [...]

BIG BROTHER
(for Johnny, on the birth of Matt)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Baby needs a “big brother”
One exactly like you
To protect him and teach him
And show him things to do

TRUE BLISS
Mothers, daughters,
And sisters, too,
Can win one’s heart
By what they do.
I’ll not forget
Mom’s love for me.
I count it as
Her legacy.
Daughters, sisters,
All passed the test.
I love each one,
But here’s the best –
Granddaughters, four,
That I can kiss,
And hold real close,
Now that’s true bliss.

If all your tears you hide
How will I know I can lean on you
If you’re not at my side
I’ll laugh with [...]
